Our staff is not only active in the three universities of the University Alliance Ruhr, but also in the EECA region.

The aim of the work of the Liaison Office is to represent the three partner universities of the UA Ruhr also  in the region of Eastern Europe-Central Asia (EECA), to make the Ruhr Area better known and more visible as an innovative hub for research and science and to promote the international exchange between the East and the West.

The central tasks of the Liaison Office EECA include:

• Initiation and support of joint international cooperation projects in the field of research and teaching (e.g. summer schools, workshops, conferences, double degrees as well as student and faculty exchanges)
• Establishment of new research contacts and networking with strategically important university partners in the EECA region
• Promotion of academic mobility between target countries and Germany
• Recruitment of highly qualified students for the UA Ruhr by establishing projects such as the Study Bridge or by supporting partner projects
• Representation of the UA Ruhr at information events of universities as well as fairs in the region
• Close cooperation with intermediary organizations such as the Goethe-Institut or the DAAD
• Exchange with universities and the scientific community in partner countries about outstanding innovations in research and teaching at the university alliance
